After finishing with the front group on my first ride on a road bike, I quickly found out I had some kind of talent. After hearing many Team Louisville members bug me for a year to try racing, I gave in, joined Team Louisville, and started racing in 2006. I got second my first race followed by a win the very next weekend. After numerous wins that year and all top 10's, I moved on to Bolla Cycling Team and moved up to a Cat 4. In 2007 I continued my streak of wins and top 10's and was hanging with the 1/2/3 races. I went from a cat 4 to a cat 2 that year. In 2009 I was still on Bolla but was unable to continue my streak in the Cat 1/2 races. Due to very few results, I got kicked off Bolla. I later found out I have severe asthma and allergies. Thanks to a close friend, I was given the opportunity to race for Texas Roadhouse. I worked through 2009 to control my asthma but was still unable to produce any results. That brings me back to my home, Team Louisville, where I am hoping to get back to having fun.
Racing Since: March 2006
Year of Birth: 1977
Hometown: Dublin, OH
Favorite Quote: Pain is Temporary, Victory is Forever
Became a Partner/Owner of the USGP of Cyclocross in 2006 and realized that working crazy hours during cross season means that I can race more road! Yippee. Moved to Louisville in April 2009 because the Websters tricked me into believing that the weather is warmer in Louisville than upstate New York. During club rides with the LBC, I discovered that I really enjoyed riding hard and competing; took up racing in 2009. Looking forward to training and racing with teammates. I'm fortunate to be married to Nancy, not only a lovely lady, but someone who is very supportive of my cycling habit.
